ch 4 :the agreement 🤝

want to be clear before everything starts. I know it’s the first time we’ve met, and this thing started like this. We don’t even know a thing about each other. I want to know your point of view. Are you ready to get married to me? You don’t have anyone, right?

Samarth: No, I don’t; I have to get married. We don’t have any other option. It can be a contract marriage if you want. You can live your life as you wish.

Arya (thinking to herself):

(Just like every other contract marriage thing.)

That’s the thing. I don’t want a typical contract marriage dialogue. If you want to marry, you have to be a real husband, and I will also fulfil my duties as a wife. I know we don’t know a thing about each other, but we will think of it as an arranged marriage. If you’re okay with my terms, then I’m ready for the marriage; otherwise, it’s a no for me.

Samarth:

(Samarth was impressed by her boldness. It was the first time he had listened to any girl talking like that. She is something, he thought to himself.)

Okay, as you wish. I hope you will not regret it. About fulfilling my need as a wife, Samarth said with a smirk on his face while coming close to Arya.

Arya’s cheeks were a blushing mess at that time. If not for those people, he will kill me with his charm, Arya thought to herself. Nonetheless, she nodded.

.....

Samarth and Arya stepped out of the room together, their expressions calm yet unreadable. The gathered family members turned to them, their faces painted with anticipation.

"We're ready," Arya said, her voice steady and confident, cutting through the murmurs.

The room erupted in activity, elders blessing the couple, and others rushing to make arrangements. The quiet house suddenly turned into a hub of excitement and chaos. Samarth observed it all silently.

His gaze often goes towards Arya, who stands composed amidst the flurry. Her boldness fascinated him. She wasn’t just different—she was unlike anyone he had ever met. She didn’t shy away from challenges, and there was an unspoken strength in her that demanded respect. He liked it—no, he admired it.

Yet, questions lingered in his mind. Who was Arya Sinha beyond the facade she showed the world? Why had she agreed to this marriage so easily? There was something she wasn’t telling him, He respected her boldness, but he couldn’t ignore the feeling that she was hiding something. And Samarth Singh Rathore wasn’t a man who liked being kept in the dark.

but Samarth knew better than to push too soon.

As Arya sat in front of the mirror, getting ready for the wedding, her mind was full of thoughts. She looked at her reflection—a bride dressed in traditional clothes. It felt strange. This wasn’t how she imagined her life would go.

She thought about all the stories she had read. In those, people got married because of a contract, then slowly fell in love. But Arya didn’t believe in such things. This was just a duty, not a love story.

Still, she couldn’t help but wonder: What kind of person is Samarth? He seemed calm, composed, and respectful. He listened when she spoke. That was rare. But could she trust him? Could they really work together in this marriage?

Looking outside, she saw the house bustling with wedding preparations. Guests were arriving, decorations were being fixed, and somewhere, Samarth was getting ready too

But Arya knew her truth. She carried a burden—She wasn’t here just as a bride; she had a mission, a purpose. The shadows of her past were closing in, and she knew she had little time before they caught up with her. Arya took a deep breath. She wasn’t here for love or romance. She had her reasons, and this marriage was part of a bigger plan. As the women around her finished dressing her up, Arya stood tall. Whatever was coming, she would face it as herself—Major Arya Sinha.

Now the real question is will they be together in the future also?

Will Arya tell Samarth why she is here? What is the mystery behind all those dramas?

What will happen in the future of there marriage?

What is written in their destiny?
