Kavya pov
"Breaking news," the news anchor declared. "Ivan Rajvansh, the CEO of Rajvansh Industries, is set to tie the knot with Shreya Rathore, the princess of Rathore Industries."
"Sources close to the families reveal that the wedding is expected to be a grand affair, with guests from both the business and social elite," the anchor continued, her voice tinged with excitement.
As the news continued, Kavya felt like she was being swallowed by her own emotions. Tears streamed down her face as she tried to convince herself that it was just a bad phase and would pass with time. But her heart was shattered, realizing she loved him. The cruel irony was she never had the chance to tell him.
Just then, a maid approached her and handed her an envelope. With shaky hands, Kavya opened it, hoping her day couldn't get any worse. But her prayers were in vain when she discovered it was a divorce paper. The maid informed her it was given by Mr. Rathore, but which Rathore, she didn't mention. Kavya's mind was too clouded with emotions to ask.
Lost in her despair, Kavya didn't hear much of the news after a point. The words blurred into background noise as her mind replayed scenes of her shattered dreams.
Her life had turned 360 degrees in just a fraction of a day. The person she needed the most was nowhere to be found, not answering her calls. She just wanted an explanation from him, her last shred of hope.
But it was too much. She couldn't bear it anymore. She needed peace in her life, the peace she had never known since birth.
The first six months of her marriage had been golden, but it didn't mean her life was smooth or going to be. She decided to face all the problems and sufferings in her life to lead a peaceful life. She would make everything right.

Ivan's POV:
After the heated argument with his father, Ivan stormed into his grandfather's room. Right now, he just needed her soothing smell, her soft touches, her smile, her eyes; he just needed her. Without her, everything felt empty. He wanted to hug her and cry out all his pain.
Little did he know, everything he was hoping for would never happen, maybe because someone else was already ruining it.
Sitting down, Ivan suddenly felt his grandpa's stir. They stared at each other for a moment before his grandpa reached out his hand and gently patted Ivan's head. Ivan looked at him with emotional eyes.
"So, son, I woke up to see my granddaughter-in-law. When are you going to let me meet her? I have a little time now, boy," his grandpa said.
"Your wish is already fulfilled, old man. I married a girl, and I thought I would introduce her to you at our hotel inauguration, but things got messed up," Ivan replied.
"You rascal, what are you waiting for? Let me see her and then show me her picture. Bring her here. She is the granddaughter-in-law of our house; she has her own place. She is the Lakshmi of our house, and what are you doing..." Grandpa chided.
"Don't yell too much, old man; you just had an operation. I will bring her. I was just waiting for you to come to your senses. I will go back and bring her with me," Ivan assured .
You better be, young boy. Now show me her picture. Who is the unlucky girl to marry you, you rascal?" Grandpa teased.
Ivan showed her picture to his grandpa.
"She's such a sweet girl. How did you get such a diamond?" Grandpa remarked.
"With my handsome face, obviously. After all, whose grandson am I?" Ivan said, teasingly.
They both laughed at this.
Meanwhile, someone stood outside their room, listening to their conversation. The person smirked and thought, "Too late. Everything is already ruined. Your dreams will never come true. The laughter you're sharing is just a matter of time before it disappears from your
faces."
